The youngsters have their own chance to win prizes, trophies and medals in the UK Pinball Kids Tournament. Open to anyone 14 or under, there will be separate tournaments on both Saturday and Sunday. There is no need to pre-register. Just turn up and play.

On Saturday, Kids Tournament players take their place alongside UK Pinball Open players in their own dedicated tournament to beat the high score on the Kids Tournament machine.

On Sunday they play next to the UK Pinball Classic competitors on a different machine for a second one-day UK Pinball Kids Tournament.

In both cases, entry costs just £1 and you are welcome to play the machine as often as you like.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three players on each day.

More details of all these exciting tournaments will appear here nearer the show dates along with full rules and information on how to join the fun. In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact the tournament organisers here.

General Information:

There will be two separate identical UK Pinball Kids Tournaments - the first played on Saturday 30th and the second played on Sunday 31st August.

The tournament will be open to all players 14 years of age and under.

The player with the highest score on each day will be declared the winner for that day.

The machine used for Saturday will be Bally's World Cup Soccer and on Sunday it will be Stern's Lord of the Rings (both subject to availability).

The cost is £1.00 per game with players allowed to play as many games as they wish.

Rules

The competition will commence at 10.00am and finish at 3.30pm on both days.

A player wishing to enter the competition must register his/her name with one of the stewards and pay £1.00.

The machine of his/her choice will then be set to play for a single 3 ball game. There will be no extra balls or free replays etc.

Upon completion of the game the score will be recorded by the steward. The top ten scores will be displayed on the stewards screen throughout the competition

At 3.30pm the competition will finish. Games already in progress at 3.30pm will be allowed to complete.

The player with the highest score for the day will be declared the winner.

Should at any time during the tournament a machine malfunction then every effort will be made to instigate a repair.

If a machine breaks down and cannot be repaired then an identical machine may, if available, be introduced. Should no identical machine be available, then a substitute game will be introduced provided there is still more than 2 hours playing time left. The top 10 players will then be invited to replay their games on the substitute machine (one game per player) without charge.

If there is less than two hours playing time left then all scores will stand and the winner declared.

In the event of a minor malfunction during a game (stuck ball etc) the malfunction will be corrected if possible and the ball placed in the shooter lane or similar dead area.

If it is not possible to continue the game, the player will be offered the choice of retaining their score or restarting the game (not both).

The steward's decision is final such that no player is put at an advantage or disadvantage with any other player.
